The state-specific police authorities are the main regulating body for eating establishment licences in India. To open a specific dining establishment, the applicant must submit an application to the relevant local or state police body. Therefore, the appropriate state or district police would be the appropriate authorities to apply to.

The following permits are necessary to launch a food business:

Food License: A food licence from the FSSAI is required in order to open a food business in India. The eligibility of a product for FSSAI registration, a state licence, or a central licence must be confirmed prior to filing for a food licence.

Health trade license -It is necessary to obtain a health trade licence from the municipal corporation of the relevant state.

Eating House License: To obtain an Eating House License, a request must be made to the state's police commissioner.

Fire Security Certificate: A NOC from the fire department is required in order to open a food company. The inspection will be conducted by Fire Department officers upon the submission of a NOC application.

if the restaurant's seating capacity is 50 or more, according to the fire safety certificate.
